All too often many of us go through our days and careers facing only the most immediate tasks and find we are unhappy and unfulfilled. The work we do has little meaning for us and we are not sure about what we can do to bring higher value to what we do; higher value for our companies, for ourselves, and for our communities. And, even if we could figure out what to do, we think we do not have the time to add anything to our already busy lives.
Through a precise performance planning process, Waterville Consulting Group can help people outline a path for individual transformation that matches their personal characteristics with their desired accomplishments and with the resources available to them so they can realize their full potential.
The Personal and Professional Development planning process has 5 stages: Assessment, Personal Strategy Mapping, Gaps Analysis, Action Planning and Implementation, and Coaching and Mentoring. Through Assessment clients gain a better understanding of the individual characteristics that make them unique. Personal Strategy mapping points out their impact on others and the effectiveness of making certain changes in their lives. The Gaps Analysis highlights what behaviors support personal goals, what ones do not, and what to do about that, and how and when to use strengths and avoid the negative impact of weaknesses. The Action Planning and Implementation part of the process points a path for what actions to take to reach individual goals as well as what to do to continuously develop abilities for meeting future challenges, challenges that may well be unknown now. Coaching and Mentoring are built into checkpoints in the Personal Performance Plan to ensure resources are used wisely, to motivate the client to continue to work toward the goals, and to address any issues so goals are actually accomplished.
The results of this comprehensive Personal and Professional Performance Development process leads to the behaviors, attitudes, skills and knowledge to meet current and future goals. Because it looks at the whole person, clients are prepared to not only reach their goals, but to continue to become stronger and better every day. They are equipped to fulfill their potential and add true value for their company, their communities, and for themselves.
